Its basic feature is the formulation of projects for the disadvantaged sectors of Philippine society, specifically street children, children/ youth in conflict with the law, street families, street colonies and street people. |
AHON means rise up and KALYE means street. AHON is a non-profit, non-stock and non-government organization catering to street children, street families and children/ youth in conflict with the law in the Philippines. It was founded on December 9, 2002 and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission with Registration No. CN200261758. It is also registered as a social work agency with Registration No. 04A-156-04 and License to Operate (category: residential facility and community based) No. 05-IVA-147 issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). AHON is a member of the Philippine Network of Urban and Street Ministries Inc., the Juvenile Justice Network of the Philippines and the United Nations Volunteers.
